Before you guys flame me, i have to agree that this is not a 100% solution to the problem but its something nevertheless. Kudos to ORPHANCARE and Sharizat for launching a great initiative.you have my support here.

The man,the legend

The man, the legend – Kenny rogers. Whenever i think of a good looking man’s man- hes the one. I think thats HOW everyone remembers him too. Even his roasters chain logo has his face on it :

Guess what ? he went to get some plastic surgery to keep up with the young ‘uns and they pretty much fucked up his face!look at him now!

who is this handsome chap then ?

Yeah, go and google kenny rogers now and you will find tons of sites talking about his fucked up plastic surgery.

Dealing with customer complaints, the malaysian way?

Yeah, the picture isnt very clear but try squinting…it helps….. hehe

Old Town White Coffee

I dont know about you guys but i need an insane amount of coffee everyday and for some reason, i really love old town white coffee (hazelnut is da bomb). I can safely admit that i am a oldtown white coffee addict and i buy their 3 in 1 packs every month for home and office consumption.

2 weeks back, one of the packs i bought at TESCO damansara had a problem….at the bottom of the package contains full of sugar or dirt…i dunno (see the pic below )

as a result..all the 3 in 1 sachet is covered in sticky dusty compound…

So i went to their website and emailed them about the issue. Within 4 days (business days lah) they finally emailed me back, asking for details such as

  • The place of the product was bought.
  • The expiry date printed at the bottom part of the outer bag.
  • How many remaining is left?
  • Please read to us the product barcode number.
  • Do you still keep the official receipt?
  • So after a couple of emails , they finally called me to arrange to pickup the faulty product to replace with a new one. during the call, old town employees were nice enough to explain to me why this product defect could have happened ( manufacturing fault due to high speed/heat of production in sealing the sachet). The next day after the call, they came to my house to pickup the faulty product and gave me a new one (yes, only one pack, not a big HAMPER basket…hehe)  but they did give me one free gift : an old town coffee MUG.

as an avid consumer of white coffee….i guess this little experience probably wont deter me from consuming their products…i just hope there will be more home grown companies that really focuses on consumer complaints seriously such as old town white coffee. KUDOS!

PS: the only thing i didnt understand was why they asked for the receipt. It was just pure coincidence that i kept the receipt that time…most of the time when i do groceries…i never keep the receipt at all!

    Western Digital

A lot of people tend to buy the cheapest hardware in the market without thinking of after sales services/support. I myself loves to buy western digital hard drives because of the support it provides.  I think a lot of people are not aware of this excellent door to door services provided by western digital ! my portable 2.5″ western digital passport crashed and i sent it back using their WD EXPRESS service :

This service is great. Just go to their website and enter your hard disk serial number, pay for a USD 7.50 shipping fee and they will come and collect your faulty hdd from your house/office! within 2 weeks, i got the replacement  ( or RMA if you prefer the technical term) from WD packed nicely (see pics below)

Oh yeah, the replacement hard disk wasnt delivered by POST…it was HAND DELIVERED by WD agent. Thats how good the service is!!

This is the best NO FUSS RMA service i have ever experienced- for those of you who have bought IT products and experienced the BAD attitudes of IT shops not honoring warranties and not forgetting the long long wait for them to actually ship your item for RMA with the manufacturer. A big thumbs up for WD!

PS: If you plan to use the WD EXPRESS service, forget about the INSTRUCTIONS on packing your defective hard disk. I mean, come on….who has all those materials required by WD to pack it properly for RMA and pickup?!
