Redemption
Finally, perfect hifi have come to their senses.
They have sent a very polite email to mr hackwire (CLICK TO READ THE EMAIL @ HACKWIRE’S BLOG) and finally they are making an effort to help the customer.
I believe there will be a few skeptics who have been following the story (why the sudden 180 turn? from bad guy to mr im so oh polite?)
All i can say is, this is a good step in damage control. Perfect hifi, you have done the RIGHT thing. Keep this up and who knows, there will be some customers who share good shopping experience at Perfect hifi one day.
PS: I would have given Perfect Hifi an 8/10 for effort and damage control if not for this ONE MISSING COMPONENT – THE APOLOGY. Mr Andy – its not hard to apologize. I recognize your effort in trying to help hackwire and close this issue but in your email, you just stated there was a misunderstanding. Remember how our DPM Najib apologized on behalf of UMNO and Ahmad ? Anyways, just my 2 cents.
Back from the dead!
My apologies if the banner is too graphic but it really depicts what this post is all about.Perfect Hifi is back from the dead and chomping/gnawing the life out of the customer.
It seems that the issue with this retailer just wont go away. Click here to read the backstory
Mr Hackwire again, encountered a dead & faulty unit after it was sent for repairs. He returned to Perfect Hifi and was offered a new replacement unit (same model). As Mr Hackwire recall Perfect Hifi told him that this particular sub woofer had a lot of problems, he asked to trade UP for a different model and brand altogether. Perfect Hifi agreed but the price mr hackwire had to top up was ridiculously HIGH.
So i assume both parties couldnt come to an agreement on the additional price to pay to trade up and now, Perfect HIFI is not even allowing mr hackwire to take back his faulty unit and is deciding to press charges against him! WTF ? According to mr hackwire, Perfect HIFI also told him to bring a “witness” to “negotiate” the release of his sub woofer. Now, im starting to wonder if we are dealing with a hifi shop or triad organization here…..
The biggest question that i have is : Why is perfect hifi going through all the trouble, publicity and unnecessary tension for one customer/few thousand dollars?
I will keep everyone updated on this story once mr hackwire updates us on his next course of action!
Meantime – you can read the ongoing discussion on this case and also the story from the horses’ mouth itself :

After closing the chapter on perfect hifi, lots of you guys are probably anxious to know how did AE UK responded to all this.If you recalled, i sent an email to AE UK & Perfect Hifi last friday night for an explanation to mr hackwire’s case.
Amazingly, i got a called on monday night itself (monday morning in the UK of course) from AE UK rep Ms Aggy! WOW! When was the last time anyone of you actually got a call from a MNC HQ itself?
“Perfect” hifi = the finale
Well guys, i havent got any replies from perfect hifi and i think that pretty much says about their level of responsiveness and being upfront.I guess in a scenario where your customers are calling you and the public are demanding an answer, is one of the worst PR nightmare.HOWEVER! with every PR nightmare there is always an opportunity to gain the understanding of your customers and the public if you handled it well. let me share two cases
Where is the perfect hifi post!?
Some of you may be looking for my previous post on perfect hi fi. .Mr Hackwire is now concern that perfect hifi will not do all they can to help him, hence the reason im taking the original post down.i took it down because i respect mr hackwire’s request, not because i am buckling under perfect hifi’s pressure
This kind of strong arm tactic from perfect hifi will only ruin their rep in the long run.
Dont worry though, i will update the finale once i get an update from mr hackwire
